Due to regulations in the food industry, we use specific plastics that are suitable for contact with foodstuffs. We develop bespoke applications using the 100% grade of plastic, which meets these requirements.
Plastics in the food industry
Plastics play an important role in the food industry. Our plastics are found in various branches of industry. This includes plastic packaging, equipment, gears and guide rails. The materials we use for this meet the EU / FDA guidelines (e.g. EU 10/2011). As a result, no harmful substances can be released when our plastics come into contact with food.
For the food industry, we often use HMPE, POM, PA and PEEK. It is also possible to use metal & X-ray detectable plastic. Small materials have been added to the plastic so that a lost plastic part can be more easily located.
