At Hemabo, we are ISO 9001 certified. This means we comply with the international standard for quality management. We work with an advanced ERP system and continuously test and improve our customer satisfaction and business processes. This also allows us to deliver consistent quality.
In addition, we are ISO 13485 certified. This standard demonstrates that Hemabo is also set up to deliver and maintain quality for products in the medical sector. In addition to all the conditions of the ISO 9001 standard, we have implemented additional processes for risk management, document management, product validation, and material traceability.

EU Regulation for chemical elements REACH (EC) No 1907/2006
REACH is the European chemicals legislation concerning Registration, Evaluation, and Authorisation of Chemicals.
As Hemabo neither manufactures nor imports chemical materials or substances into the EU itself, REACH classifies Hemabo as a so-called ‘downstream user’. This means that the registration obligations from REACH legislation are not directly applicable to Hemabo as a manufacturer of tools. Nevertheless, we have informed all our suppliers about REACH and have asked them to comply with all their obligations, including the right of registration, that arise from the legislation.
EU Regulation on the Restriction of Hazardous Substances RoHS (EU) No 2011/65/EU
The RoHS (Restriction of use of certain Hazardous Substances) is a European directive that aims to restrict the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. The substances within the directive may only be present in electrical and electronic equipment if they remain below the stated maximum concentration (weight percentage) of the homogeneous material as listed below:
- Lead (0.1%)
- Mercury (0.1%)
- Cadmium (0.01%)
- Hexavalent chromium (0.1%)
- Polybrominated biphenyls (PBBs) (0.1%)
- Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) (0.1%)
- Bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) (0.1%)
- Butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP) (0.1%)
- Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) (0.1%)
- Di-isobutyl phthalate (DIBP) (0.1%)
